Province Delegates, GC Deputies and Bishops Gather in Worcester
Province 1 Delegates, General Convention Deputies, and Bishops met Saturday April 7, 2018 at All Saints Episcopal Church, Worcester MA for the 2018 Provincial Spring Synod and General Convention Orientation. Participants learned about new provincial initiatives including the Models of Small Vital Congregations Project which will collect inspiring stories of small vital faith communities who are creatively being church in the 21st century and a web-based resource for those seeking to learn about and find a spiritual director in New England. The President of the House of Deputies Gay Jennings, Canon to the Presiding Bishop for Ministry Michael Hunn, and Executive Officer for the General Convention Michael Barlowe provided the history of General Convention, identified new procedures for the gathering in Austin, and offered insights about key legislation being introduced.
